Our Story
We’re Luke and Nikki—owners, parents, partners in life (and now in business), and proud Elkhorn locals.
Luke’s Electric was born right here in our hometown in 2010, but the story starts long before that.
Luke grew up in Elkhorn, where he discovered early on that he loved working with his hands—whether it was fixing things, fishing, or tinkering in the garage. After high school, he went straight into the electrical trades and spent 11 years working for a small local electric company. He built strong relationships with clients and earned a reputation for being dependable, hardworking, and honest. When the owners of that company had to step away due to health issues, there weren’t many electricians left in the area—which opened the door for Luke to step in and serve the community he’s always called home.

Luke's Electric was founded with one mission: to provide high-quality, trustworthy electrical work with a neighborly feel.

In 2021, Nikki—who spent years as a full-time nurse—joined the business full-time to handle operations. She was looking for more purpose and found it working side by side with Luke (most days with a healthy dose of humor and a cup of coffee). Together, we’ve built something we’re really proud of.

We focus on residential electrical work—remodels, upgrades, troubleshooting, and service updates—and take on select commercial projects as well. Our business is rooted in family and community. We’re raising our three kids here, we sponsor local sports teams, and we’re currently planning a youth apprenticeship program to help grow the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

If you call us, you’ll get honest answers, a few laughs, and people who genuinely care. And if we’re not the right fit for the job, we’ll happily help you find someone who is. That’s just how we do things.
Thanks for stopping by—and thank you for supporting local.
